The following design concepts were eliminated since because they did not meet evaluation criteria.

The following are considerations for Design Concept A:

  • Parking will remain on both sides of the street

  • Boulevard will become narrower to accommodate trail

  • Off-street trail will be built on the lake side

  • Provides no reduction of impervious surface

The following are considerations for Design Concept B:

  • Narrower road supports traffic calming

  • Off-street trail built on lake side

  • Removal of parking provides flexibility of right-of-way uses:

    • Wider boulevards will accommodate more greenspace

    • Trail could be shifted away from homes and closer to roadway

  • Provides greatest reduction of impervious surface
